BYOW - Bring Your Own Watch

A trip to the Lange Boutique with Dimardi. As it turned out, we had more to show them than they had to show us. That tray of watches does not belong to Lange ! The reality of that is this could be true in several Boutiques these days given scarcity of wat

Capturing the essence of the Lange 1...

I took these photos last month. The first one is with my "strap artisan" friend, who wears a MING GMT. Right after he changed the strap on my watch, we took this photo. Both Lange and MING do few things only but do them well, and both have a strong design

That's unfortunate and sorry to hear that

I don't feel like they play games, not more at least, and in many cases less than other brands. My 1st Lange was a L1 Moonphase. When I purchased it, that's when they informed me that the L1 MP was a companion piece to the Odysseus. I didn't even know tha

I get this totally.

This went from “not being on my Lange radar” to being a “gotta have”. Love the one second remintoire and the dead beat seconds hand. Right now my Lange stable is full with this one, a 1st generation platinum Datograph, a white gold Striking Time, a white

The original was not a memorable watch, which I think is why watch journalists mistakenly reported...

... in 2010 that the honey gold Lange 1 Tourbillon (722.050) was Lange's first stop-seconds tourbillon. The 722.050 was one of the original three honey gold models, which were introduced in 2010 to celebrate Langes 165th anniversary (because who doesn't c

Here's my answer to Tony 's post: Look what Lange came out with A. Lange & Söhne brings the Cabaret back to life , with a tourbillon and in honeygold , if you please! This could be wonderful news. But let me show you right away why I think it isn't as won

Watch Shopping Yesterday...

...In San Francisco. We hit Patek and Lange, but the Rolex reservation was wonky so we will go back soon. A couple of observations. Our 'Ambassador' at Patek was Jay. Very nice guy who knows his stuff and loves watches. He was wearing a vintage mono-push

Thank you for a great in depth article.

The Lange 1 stands out with the date an integrated element of the complete design. The date on the new JLC is really quite good; as is the first Grand Seiko. I prefer a date that blends in ( if it can't be done as on the Lange 1. Thanks again for the post
